Dear Members and Friends of CODA-International,
We have received approximately 19 requests for registration stipends representing various countries. Money spent annually for these stipends are raised from the Silent Auction at the previous conference. $1130.00 US dollars was raised at the COBERLINDA Conference Silent Auction in 2011.
Some of our applicants need financial assistance with travel expenses and accommodations in order to get first-hand experience at a conference. For example, this year we have requests from the following countries to attend the Miami 2012 Conference:
USA 9
Brazil 6
Australia 3
Sweden 1
Contributing to sponsoring an individual or a group of people can be a very rewarding experience. In the past, private individuals have sponsored Coda’s from Turkey, India, Spain, Germany, and Kosovo, just to mention a few. Their presence was definitely memorable and a joy for others to share similar, yet different experiences.
